Vidyavardhini’s Arts, Science and Commerce College at Vasai Road, Dist. Pasmhar, established its Junior College Unit in 1976. The Junior College is recognised by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Mumbai.

The Junior College has the following full fledged divisions, four in Science, three in Commerce and three in Arts at F.Y.J.C. and S.Y.J.C. Levels. The medium of instruction is English for Science and Commerce faculties and English & Marathi for Arts Faculty. Fourth Division of Science is Unaided

Rules Regarding Admission:

  • A student who has passed the S.S.C. examination under the 10+2+3 pattern conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Mumbai (hereinafter called the Board) or any other examination recognised as equivalent to the Board is eligible for admission to the F.Y.J.C. class in Arts, Science or Commerce.Admission to all XI classes except vocational courses (MCVC) bi-focal-computer science and I.T. will be done as per the procedure laid down by Maharashtra Government (On Line).Admission for XI H.S.C. vocational (MCVC) is off-line. Students are required to fill up the forms which will be provided by the college. Admission will be given strictly on merit basis as per the rules and regulations of the Government of Maharashtra. Acceptance of Form for preparation of merit list does not mean that admission is confirmed. Seats are reserved for backward class candidates as per the rules.
  • A student who has passed examination other than that conducted by the Board is required to produce an eligibility certificate issued by the Divisional Secretary, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Mumbai Divisional Board, Mumbai. Those students will be granted admission on Provisional basis subject to availability of Seats in XI and XII (H.S.C.) Students who fail to produce confirmation of eligibility before the end of the year will not be allowed to attend the XI and XII (H.S.C.) Examination.
  • For admission to the F.Y.J.C. class it is essential for the students to produce the following documents in original together with two attested copies of each:
    1. S.S.C. Examination Passing Certificate.
    2. Statement of Marks, of the above mentioned examination.
    3. School Leaving Certificate.
    4. Eligibility Certificate in case of those passing an examination other than that conducted by the Board.
    5. Three recent passport size photographs of the student.
    6. Original Caste Certificate (For B. C. Students)
  • A student who has passed the F.Y.J.C. Examination from a recognised Junior College in Maharashtra or any other examination recognised as equivalent to the Board is eligible for admission to the S.Y.J.C. class.
  • A student who has passed the F.Y.J.C. Examination in Science or Commerce is permitted to join the S.Y.J.C. class in Arts, if seats are available.
  • For admission to the S.Y.J.C. class, it is essential for the student to produce the following documents together with two attested copies of each:
    1. S.S.C. Examination Passing Certificate.
    2. Statement of Marks of the above mentioned Examination.
    3. Statement of Marks of the F.Y.J.C. Examination.
    4. School / Jr. College Leaving Certificate.
    5. Final Eligibility Certificate in the case those passing an examination other than that conducted by the board.
  • A student seeking admission to the Junior College shall have to present himself / herself along with an application in the prescribed form available in the college office duly filled in and signed by him / her and endorsed by his / her parent / guardian. Admission to Std. XI class will be made as per the procedure laid down by the Education Department and the Management.No admission shall be regarded as granted unless by the authority of the Principal and the necessary fees paid to the College office.
  • All admission are valid only for one academic year and are required to be renewed by a fresh application in the prescribed form for every subsequent year of study in college.
  • Normally, student of this Junior College who has qualified himself / herself for admission to a higher class is admitted to the said class provided an application for the purpose in the prescribed form duly filled in has been received with the necessary fee within the notified period.
