Department of Accountancy
The department was established in the year 1974 with the main intention of preparing students to become trusted consultants, accountants, managers, and analysts who will be enough capable to reinforce and propel businesses and organizations in the context of today’s global marketplace. We work hard to make sure our undergraduate and post-graduate students should find out noteworthy jobs after completion of their higher education.
Whether students do practice in public, private, or government domain they require a fundamental understanding of concepts and principles of accountancy. Our faculty members are experienced and dedicated to execute a properly designed programme that will help all the students in their practical life.

- Dr Arvind Ubale: He is an associate professor and the head of the Accountancy Department. He Completed more than two decades at Vartak college. Presently he has been working as a Principal of the college. He successfully worked as in-charge of Self Financing courses. He has completed his M.Com, MMS, DBM, PhD and MSW(Tata Institute of SocialSciences). He is a co-author of the textbook Auditing in T.Y.Bcom. He has participated and presented various Research papers at national as well as international conferences. He has been worked in different capacities to foster the growth of not only the accountancy department but also the college.
- Prof. Piyush Rana: He is an assistant professor in accountancy and has been completed for more than a decade now. His academic qualification is M.Com, B.Ed., NET, SLET, MBA from ICFAI. He is an active and enthusiastic member of the cultural committee. He has done various good works for socially backward students. He did good coordination work of TY level Examination during the pandemic.
- CA Amar Madia: He has been working as an assistant professor since 2013. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant from ICAI. He has also cleared his SET examination. Actively participates in all college activities. His area of specialization in the subject of taxation. He is sincere and hardworking in all his duties. He is one of the active members of the Online Examination committee.
- Prof. Vandana Kedia: She has been working as assistant professor since 2019. Her qualification is M.Com, MPhil, B.Ed.,. She is also pursuing PhD in Accountancy. Shehas participated and presented Research papers at national as well as international conferences. She has served in BMS/BBI department of the college in the years 2016-2018. She is sincere and hardworking in all her duties.
- Prof. Mansi Jobanputra: She joined the department since 2021, she is one of the Alumni of our college. She has completed her M.Com and has also cleared her NET examination. She is highly innovative teacher uses various traditional and modern teaching aids to facilitate the learning process.
Students
Students enter the portal of the college with dream. They are disciplined, energetic and result oriented. They participate in all indoor and outdoor activities schedule. Students actively participate in workshops, seminars, cultural and sports.
Departmental Activities
Adhering to the Academic calendar. Conduct orientation programme. Completing the syllabus on time. Organizing workshop and Seminars. The department has actively participated in the university exam work in the capacities of paper setter, moderator, examiner in theory and practical examinations. The department has successfully organized webinar on “Union Budget-At Glance 2022” ,in which various students from UG and PG participated and presented their research papers.
Facilities
In the department we have rich library for accounts related materials and resources. We have separate Accountancy Departmental room which is furnished with adequate cupboards to store student assignments and project materials. A compact staff room that accommodates all staff.
