Department of Mathematics
The Department was established in 1977. Department offers teaching up to Graduation(B.Sc.) in Mathematics besides course of Mathematics/Statistics at F.Y.B.Com. and Computer System at T.Y.B.Com.
Every year there are about 40 students who offer Maths at T.Y.B.Sc. There are 5 approved and 3 contractual/Temporary teachers working in our department. Two of the teachers are PhD and two are perusing PhD. Also, the two teachers have acquired professional diplomas in computer/IT.
Several books have been co-authored by staff. The staff have published research papers and completed minor research projects. The department staff were visiting faculty at the University of Mumbai, Institute of Science, SNDT University for M.Sc. and MCA and were also involved in the UG/PG syllabus committee of the University of Mumbai.

Students
Our several students completed B.Ed. M.Sc. , MCA and MBA from reputed institutes and placed in government sectors , private sectors as well as in teaching field. Some students are pursuing Master degree from foreign university.
Departmental Activities
Adhering to the Academic calendar. Conducted orientation program. Completing the syllabus on time. Organised different games based on mathematics to develop the mathematical skills of students.
Also conducted seminar competition to promote the self-study to students. We arranged a few University workshops on the revised syllabus.
Facilities
The Computer Centre is shared with Computer Science and IT departments has a well-established laboratory catering to the needs of undergraduate students. The internet facility is sufficient to handle day to day activities.
The departmental library, though has less collection is effectively utilised by students. Seminar hall is put to optimistic use during seminars and workshops. A compact staff room that accommodates all staff. An overhead projector is used during presentations. Adequate cupboards to store student journals and project material. Laptops are used for lectures. Adequate printers are available.
